Sycamore Community Garden Project

Concord, NH

How would you use this grant to help your community?

The Sycamore Community Garden Project of Concord, New Hampshire, needs to expand. Located near an oxbow pond from which gardeners must haul water by hand, our current cultivation area is limited to reasonable walking-and-carrying distance from its water source. As a result, the Project now turns away more than 80 low-income families each year who want and need garden plots. We would use a Seeds of Change grant to drill a centrally located well which could greatly expand our growing area and enable us to make garden plots available to families we now must turn away.
