The Garden Farm

BY: Joe L

Alpharetta, GA

We would utilize these funds to put more resources back into the garden to create additional ways to demonstrate sustainable and organic gardening practices to grow food while protecting the environment. While this garden is used as the home set for filming segments of our national PBS television series, we encourage visitors from our community and our national audience who want to see firsthand, the techniques to start and manage a productive organic food garden. We welcome all visitors and provide free, hands-on demonstrations. We are 100% supported only by underwriting and never have all the funds we need to add resources to our garden so that it can be used to demonstrate more learning opportunities for the many people who want to visit and learn. We host schools, garden clubs, community garden groups, Master Gardener groups and individuals as often as possible, plus use the garden extensively to teach those practices where they are viewed on national television & online.
